A Good Laugh

Having a laugh, I mean an uncontrollable laugh that comes from deep down, is so therapeutic. I'd rather not share what caused for this laughter as it's probably more embarrassing for me...oh what the heck. Basically, my husband was being a woderful soon-to-be father and was massaging my feet with stress-free lavender scented lotion. After helping me clean my soaked feet and take off my toe nail polish, we mosied back to the living room couch where I plopped myself on his lap. As we're watching the US Open between Federer and Giraldo, Alex did something I was not expecting: he sniffed my armpit! Why would any person in their right mind do such a thing?! Next thing I know, he's leaning on my shoulder as if he passed out. And I'm sitting there clueless and seconds later, I put 2 and 2 together and although I'm mortified at the same time, I begin to laugh. But my laugh starts to get louder and it's not stopping! To the point where my stomach begins to hurt. Mind you, I'm at the start of 7 months pregnancy and here I am laughing so hard that I'm thinking my baby inside is wondering what the heck is going on out there! Alex comes out of his armpit-induced coma and is laughing just as hard if not harder because tears begin to well up in his eyes. As I see him laughing harder, I begin to laugh harder and now it's on! Laughing is contagious! Talk about endorphins...once we both calmed and wiped our eyes, we both let out this sigh of relief and it was almost embarrassing for both of us to know why we were laughing so hard. We may not have known why, but we both needed it. Before going to bed, it was comforting to hear Alex say that we had such a beautiful day. I asked, "how it was beautiful?" In genuine puzzlement to my question, he responded, "we laughed! What a beautiful night!"
